It was wonderful getting to see my family this weekend. Everyone seems to be doing so well. My brother and sister in law are remodeling, and there house is looking pretty great! Mom and Dad are doing great, just about out of school and going to vacation for the summer. They deserve it. Grandpa is still going strong at 89 and we are all inspired by him. Grandma Harr is such a character and it was great to see her out and about. Thanks so much to Patsy and Nate for allowing us to use their house for my mother's birthday. It was wonderful. Thanks to all that showed up and I look forward to seeing everyone again as soon as possible!
Ryan and Tammie...next time. :( I hope your trip was awesome. I bet there was a lot of squished family time in the sardine can. We can't afford a web cam at this time but maybe soon.
Love you all and talk to you soon!
Two more days til we come home to visit everyone. I'm very excited!!
I had the urge to just go down to the church yesterday to see if they were playing basketball. Indeed they were and I played a good hour and a half and that felt great. I met some people and am excited about helping some players get better with basketball there. They play Monday's, Tuesday's, and Saturday's and I will definately be there from now on.
My friend Tammie posted her take on her purpose yesterday and it was inspiring and well written. I would like to share it with all of you:
My purpose is to walk God's specific path for me effectively, whole heartedly without doubt or question.
God has given all of us have our own specific paths and I feel it is important to follow that path even though there may be many doubts and questions along the way. I am learning that the more Faith we have in him, the more he can help us. We cannot see or touch faith and that is why it is difficult to have it all of the time. If we can get past that and believe in him fully, he will provide what we need to be a blessing to ourselves and others.
We had a good long weekend. Friday we went down to the neighborhood pool and met some of the community members. It was fun and we are excited to have such a good community. We also met our neighbors Sidney, Miles and Sandra. Miles is in 8th grade and after I got a first victory at Ping Pong, he continued to destroy both me and his dad the rest of the night. They then both beat me at horse ( I am rusty at basketball). We are looking forward to more good times with them. We had burgers and enjoyed a boat ride on Saturday at Uncle John's with some of our friends and family. On Sunday we went to church and spent the afternoon at Opry Mills mall and enjoyed the movie Night at the Museum 2. On Monday, we relaxed at home and I cut the grass. It looks so much better after being mowed. Monday evening we enjoyed dinner with one of Anastacia's friends. Their children are a blast!!
Hope you all had a great weekend. Much love and I'll talk to ya soon!
Thanks for your prayers, they have helped tremendously!! I am feeling much better. My mother-in-law is in town today to interview for some teaching positions. We are excited to have her and are hopeing for great news with her interviews.
I'll leave you with a bible verse that has helped me recently:
Matthew 6:25-34
25 “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27 And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? 28 And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, 29 yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31 Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
34 “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
As fast as life goes by, sometimes we miss the little blessings that have always been around us. I have had a difficult time missing my friends and family lately. The truth of the matter is that I love it in Tennessee. It is such a beautiful place. We have been blessed with a job, a new house, a great school for Anastacia and the opportunity to start a family. This is what I have always prayed for and I am so grateful that it has come true. The only thing it is missing is my friends and family. It would be nice to have everyone else here but I know that cannot happen. I know I am where God wants me to be. I will talk to you soon and if you have time, say a little prayer for me!
Some people have been asking about pictures for our house. These are from before we moved in. There has been some updating going on but not to the point of new pictures.

Tomorrow is my little brother's birthday. As I gracefully exit my late 20's in a month and a half, I welcome him into his late 20's.
He will get the privilage seeing the little white hairs. Anastacia likes to point out the 2 or 3 that pop up in my beard randomly and I like to reply that I am getting smarter 2 or 3 hairs at a time. She pointed out that yesterday, the few white hairs on my beard are becoming outnumbered by the white ones on my head. Thanks wife.
Happy Birthday Danny!! I hope your late 20's are as good to you as they have been to me.
Every morning at work I check finalscore.vox.com to see whats going on with the Williams' family. Even though we are 2000 miles away, it makes me feel a little closer to home. Because of that, I am inspired to start a blog of our own. Stay tuned.....
I CANNOT believe your coming and were NOT going to be here!!! read more
